Robin Lunsford – Long Exposure Assignment

Robin Lunsford is currently a 1st year photography student at MTCC. Robin shot this using a long exposure to get the silky smooth effect of the water.

Kaia Byrd – Early College

Kazia Byrd is currently a 2nd year student in the Photographic Technologies Program.  She is enrolled through the Early College Program at MTCC.   Early College is designed for freshmen high school students. It is an actual high school located on the campus of McDowell Technical Community College. Eighth grade students are randomly selected to enter the Early College their 9th grade year and continue one year past their senior year for a total of five years. They earn their high school diploma and the first two years of college credits tuition free. The McDowell Early College provides smaller classrooms while also requiring relevant and rigorous course work.

Career & College Promise (CCP) student – Unique Wilkerson

Unique Wilkerson is enrolled in the CCP program through MTCC.  The purpose of Career and College Promise (CCP) is to offer structured opportunities for qualified high school students (juniors and seniors) to enroll in community college courses that provide pathways that may lead to a certificate, diploma, or degree as well as provide entry-level job skills in specific areas.  Unique is currently a 1st year Photography student with Blake Madden.
