This photograph was taken for a lighting assignment. I had to pick an ambient light source. I chose to use the TV in my living room. This photo was shot at ISO 200 f 2.8 @1/15. I had a lot of fun doing this assignment. I hope to try this method again soon.
This photograph is of the daughter of a first-year photography student at McDowell Technical Community College. I took the photo in front of the college using my own lighting gear. It was shot using a beauty dish mounted on a light stand with a speedlite- simple but effective lighting.
Maureen is such a classic beauty. I came home one day and she was sitting on the front porch. I immediately saw her in a photograph. Her grace and beauty flows through every fiber of her being. The color helps to create this harmonious composition and draws your attention to her face, surrounded by varying shades of red.
Girl With Pearls – The assignment for this photograph was high key lighting – white background and someone in white clothing in a studio setting. The challenge was to hold detail in the clothing while maintaining a good overall exposure.
